Casting Call

My Turn Performing Arts Collective in Alma MI is looking for 2 females for the world premiere of “The Lost Uterus” by Michelle Lucchesi.

Due to sudden unexpected changes beyond our control, we are looking to fill 2 roles, female ages 20 -35. During the fourth week of rehearsal two actors needed to step down leaving two roles open.

Cast

Nurse, female, 20s

Counselor, female 29

Each character is in one scene, with a 1-2 page monologue and a page of dialogue.

Play Synopsis. This powerful exploration of womanhood includes several monologues from a wide variety of women examining their relationship with their uterus. These are framed in a story of a mother and daughter navigating attempts at emotional intimacy among fears and guilt of past actions. It is a cutting portrayal of private experiences often left unspoken.

This script has been fully workshopped through Michigan Writer’s Playwright Project, where leaders called it “an important piece.”
